12 startups in 12 months

In construction.
Inspired by Pieter Levels, who did it first. I wrote about how much of his stuff I am copying over here.
So far:
- Essential Travel Presets, October 2022
- plantas.love, November 2022
- Customizable Christmas Ornaments, December 2022
- E-Commerce Checklist in Portugal, January 2023
- Viral Tools, September 2023
But these aren’t “startups”!??!
Removing all the layers of “sophistication” and techbro venture talk, a startup is simply an organized attempt to create and exchange value. A product, or a service, in its most primitive form.
Your lemonade stand?
Well, did you start it up?
Well, there you go. That’s all that matters, a startup.
That is the point exactly, to start things up, change my habit of always looking for product perfection, get used to seeing the MVP of things and shipping fast.
I have so many ideas in the backlog, written down somewhere. Things that have never materialized and that, given life’s ephemerality and the reality of limited resources, might never.
Not to mention projects and things that have been worked on, that have had so many hours of work and creative juice poured into them, but because we feel they are not ready or perfect, they never see the light of day, till the time they are just outdated.
So it is also an experiment with the fear of failure. The fear of putting your products and your ideas in front of the world, because you don’t think they are good enough yet.
