stuff i madeentrepreneurshipAI12 startups in 12 months

The most viral captions on Instagram. A spread of Instagram posts behind the product title.

The fifth project of the 12 startups in 12 months challenge, and the one that broke it. February’s slot, shipped in September.

Everyone selling caption help was generating them with AI, and generated captions don’t perform. So I didn’t generate anything. I went through a ridiculous number of posts that had actually gone viral and pulled out the captions that got people to comment, save and share instead of just double-tapping.

The kit: Captions AI, a virality score, the viral formula, a content optimisation checklist, and 150+ real captions filterable by topic.

It ended up being a kit rather than one thing: the caption formula, a content optimisation checklist, a prompt guide, a virality score, a generator, and the captions themselves, filterable by niche.

The caption library as a scored, filterable table.

Launched on Product Hunt on 6 September 2023 and finished the day at #10.

Sold through Gumroad.
